Volunteer to Help

Volunteering your time is the single most precious gift of all.  Please consider making a difference in the lives of helpless animals and show the compassion they've likely never known.  Socialization is a critical aspect to helping them be more adoptable.  Below are the ways you can make a difference.  If interested, click on the Volunteer Application link on the navigation pane at the left or below and fax or email to us.

Adoption Events

  • We hold weekly adoptions on Saturdays from noon to 5PM at the Petsmart Store in Rockwall, TX.  Click on Adoption/Venue for address and map.   We're always in need of people to help walk and water the dogs while there.  Additional assistance answering questions about the dogs and cats or helping them interact with potential adopters is critical to adoption success.   This is a perfect opportunity to fill community services hours for teens too!

Foster a dog or cat

  • When our shelter gets too full, we sometimes have to resort to foster homes in order to save dogs and cats from city shelters.  If you can open your heart and your home to a pet until they are adopted, you increase our ability to help more.  If interested in our foster program, click on the link on the navigation pane to the left and complete our Foster Application.

Material donations - Management of a shelter facility requires many items to keep it running smoothly.  Donations of these material items reduces our expenses and allows us to focus our monetary resources on vetting.

  • Bleach
  • Dryer Sheets
  • Blankets
